Cabanyal-Canyamelar
Cabanyal-Canyamelar is a historic neighbourhood in the maritime district of Valencia, with a strong identity of its own and deep seafaring roots. Its unique and protected urban layout reflects the history of a community linked to the sea, with streets running parallel to the coast and traditional architecture of great heritage value, especially the houses decorated with colourful tiles.
This neighbourhood represents a living cultural heritage, where tradition coexists with the processes of urban rehabilitation and social revitalisation. In recent years, Cabanyal-Canyamelar has been moving towards a regeneration model that values its history, its neighbourhood fabric and its architectural and cultural wealth.
